Here are some pictures of Kyleigh. When we get to step down and post op day four we will post some pictures of her stitches \ incision on her chest.

So you can see she has a foot IV, an arterial line in her right arm, an IV in her left arm, and a central line in her neck. Since then she has lost the foot IV. The arterial line measures her blood pressure continously. The central line pumps medicine directly to her heart to keep it beating easy. You can also see her pacer wires clipped to her diaper. The pacer hasn’t been on since it was turned off this morning (March 1), but is still there until at least 24 hours. A pacer is leads only with the pacemaking part being externally hooked up. A pacemaker is implanted in their skin and programmed.
