I sure hope this doesn’t jinx us but all signs point to us coming home tomorrow!!!! They are doing another echo today, the oxygen is already gone, they will pull her central line (IJ), and her pacer wires today. Tomorrow we will have an x-ray and then we will be ready to head on home! Man… this has been a long journey and I am just glad to be done with it. Although it kind of sucks because it makes me fear our next surgery even more after what we went through with this one.
And the fact that I spent and entire day yakking my guts up. That was just wrong! But I am better now- thank goodness I can eat again! The pumping really takes a dive whenever I am not eating and drinking correctly!
Anywhoo… that is our morning update from rounds. Hopefully we will be headed home tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I pray that everything looks as good as expected when they do the sedated echo. Be sure they x-ray her several times when they take her pacer wires out. When Bri had hers they just pulled them out and they were stitched to her heart. Maybe they do things differently now. It is a long way to go back if needed. The boys will be so happy to see you. If it is going to be nice weather, Pa is going to the farm this weekend. It will have to be nice enough for Owen to be able to play out.I hope Amber is still feeling well. No more of that, unless, of course, it is for another little Schmidt! Hmmmmm.We miss you all and like I said, what faces! The one of her before O.R. is so cute!Pa thinks her looks have changed.Someone else saw it and was amazed at how much like Owen she looks.I can’t wait to see all of you and am thrilled at her progress.Wonder if any teething medicine will affect her meds or her heart?Bri’s asthma medicine made her heart race and made her shaky.
