Its about 10:30 pm. Kyleigh just got all settled in for the night. She is trying to spike a fever but trying to establish that she is feverish is hard because they can never get a good read on her (in other words… no hiney to stick it up!). But they gave her some tylenol and that helped. She has been sleeping easily all day. They changed her Vecoronium over to a continuous IV drip instead of as needed because she basically got it every two hours on the hour yesterday. They did an echo on her and while there is still a little leak in two places everything else looks “GREAT”. That was very exciting to hear. We have another day of sedated resting- and an x-ray tomorrow. And then we will try the extubation on Wednesday maybe… that is about all for today. They are thinking of doing a cardiac cath on her but our surgeon doesn’t really think she needs it. There is another doc (not one who has been regularly taking care of us… just someone random… ) who is pushing for a cath. So we will see. But today has been a pretty decent day. I actually got some work done too which makes me feel better about things and life in general. Sigh.. tomorrow is another day.
