Kyleigh Radiothon Montage

Posted by Amber On August - 23 - 2008

Its finally here!! The moment so many have been waiting for. Here is Kyleigh’s story that has been aired off and on for several day to promote the Radiothon for the Kentucky Children’s Hospital.

I finally was able to listen with open ears and if you LISTEN to the song it says:

You could’ve bowed out gracefully
But you didn’t
You knew enough to know
To leave well enough alone
But you wouldn’t
I drive myself crazy
Tryin’ to stay out of my own way
The messes that I make
But my secrets are so safe
The only one who gets me
Yeah, you get me
It’s amazing to me
How every day
Every day, every day
You save my life

I come around all broken down and
Crowded out
And you’re comfort
Sometimes the place I go
Is so deep and dark and desperate
I don’t know, I don’t know

Sometimes I swear, I don’t know if
I’m comin’ or goin’
But you always say something
Without even knowin’
That I’m hangin’ on to your words
With all of my might and it’s alright
Yeah, I’m alright for one more night-
Every day
Every day, every day, every day
Every day, every day
You save me, you save me, oh, oh, oh
Every day
Every, every, every day-

Every day you save my life

There could be NO truer words ever written to sum up our family’s journey… thank you for taking this journey with us! If you are reading today… the Radiothon is still going on until noon but you can donate ANYTIME in honor of Kyleigh with the links in the other post!!! Please join us in celebrating Ky’s life and thanking the people who have been with us every step of the way!

Wow- what an awesome opportunity you have to share not only about Kyleigh, but about this hospital that has done SO much!

Its so neat to be able to hear another VACTERL family get the chance to describe just a little bit of what life is like in our version of “Holland”. Thanks Amber.

ps- and totally silly- your voice sounds almost exactly like what I thought it would- except with less accent- he he ;)

Very nicely put together, Amber . You are very fortunate to be near good Childrens hospitals that care for Ky. I wish we could say the same for us.
Its great to know that the word VACTERL is getting out there to the public.

Wonderful montage. You sounded so brave and strong, and very well spoken. I'm glad your family got an opportunity to share your story with the listeners. I'm certain it helped people to realize that, as you said, not every hospital can care for every need, but with the right support system in place, they can. We consider ourselves very lucky to be near the hospital & NICU that Elias is in now. We were suppose to leave the area this year, but God kept us here and now we know why. Thank you for being brave and help spreading the word about VACTERL and raising awareness for all sick children regardless of their diagnosis. There is no greater cause than our children, and no better way to give back than to those wonderful hospitals that allow our children to become prospering adults. Stay strong, you are all in our prayers.
