On Friday September 5th I had the privilege of photographing the Makenna Foundation’s fall event – The Art of Making Miracles. Hosted on the grounds of Remax Creative Realty here in Lexington, the event is quite amazing. The evening was filled with food from only the BEST local vendors, live and silent auctions, and a cool evening breeze followed by billowing rains. It is always our privilege to be a part of something so great and especially something that benefits the Kentucky Children’s Hospital. Kyleigh spends so much time there that I KNOW our family has directly benefited from the efforts of the Makenna Foundation. It is always amazing to be surrounded by such positive energy and knowing that every single person at this event was there to help MY child. A pretty unbelievable feeling. I am forever indebted to this hospital and the people who continue to work so hard to make our child healthy and happy. As a parent your heart overflows with joy and appreciation.
I encourage every one of you to join us next year for this event and for the Derby Eve Gala downtown at the Radisson! There could be no better cause to support than this amazing foundation.

Amber, you continue to amaze me with your talent!! As good as Joe is doctor – you are a photographer!!
Susan (you know the last name – no need to post it)
Okay Ky- I don’t know how you could not embrace this man and smother him with hugs and kisses. Benji has never even met him and he is sitting on my lap blowing kisses at your Doctor Joe. Big, sloppy, wet “I love you kisses”. You’ve got to charm the people who repeatedly save your life, little girl!
Does Doctor Joe make housecalls to South Dakota? We could use a few more good docs who see Benji as more than a medical mystery. Ones who not only treat our kid- but love him too!
