Dearest Prince,
I was running tonight about half way through my second mile and I totally hit the wall. A charlie horse started creeping up on me, my knee was clicking, my side was hurting… only on mile 2. I admit that I did not warm up like I should have. But… in the middle of the second mile I closed my eyes and I could see you. I finished the rest of that mile knowing that I was running that half mile for you. I have to tell you that you, my amazing life partner, are a great motivator. As much as I wish that you were on the treadmill (or elliptical) next to me cheering me on, you are alive enough in my heart that I can almost hear you.

If you were running beside me on that treadmill maybe we would be talking. About what? Who knows… wouldn’t be that important and I probably would not really be taking much in other than observing you as your heart is racing and your muscles were flexing. I can’t wait to hear your laugh and get lost in your eyes. To talk with you until there is nothing left to say. To walk beside you until there is no road left to travel. To lie beside you every night and KNOW that I am the luckiest girl in the world.

You, my prince, were, are and always will be my first love. My journey to you has served its purpose to help me understand the fullness of love so that I may give that you.

I already know many things about you but if we had time just to chat here are a few things I would tell you about me.

~ I hate socks. Seriously. They are the bane of my existence. They are in no way comfortable and if only I could find a pair of running shoes that did not require socks I would pay any amount of money for them. Socks give me blisters, they cramp my toes and generally I hate them.
~ I keep my hair short nowadays because I am addicted to pony tails. If my hair is long enough to be back in a pony ring… its there.
~ I hate ALL cleaners that smell of anything citrus. There is something wrong about my house smelling like and orange or lemon after I have cleaned it!
~ I obsessively clean the toilets. Like, three times a week. Its even worse now that I am single!
~ If given the choice of ANY cookie in the world I choose a Snickerdoodle! Yes… keep your chocolate chips… give me a warm, soft snickerdoodle.
~Although I am a big fan of working out I also am not afraid to EAT. Seriously… I earned that cookie!
~ I love winter. Absolutely hands down. Snow, ice, all things winter. I would move further north if it were not for my family being here because I love the cold THAT MUCH!
~ I detest vegetables in any form. Although, the salads at Panera have been a bit tempting even to this veggie hater.
~ Nothing makes me feel more confident than my sling back pointed toe heels. If I needed to put my foot up someone’s butt that would make an impact!
~ I have had the same two pillowcases for almost ten years. I will be devastated when they shred, which I am sure they will any day now.
~ I HATE with a passion… vomiting. There are only two things in the world that will make me instantly vomit.
~ My absolute favorite food in the world is Mi Mexico Salsa… I truly hope you are a Lexingtonian so that we can savor the flavor of the Mi Mexico goodness together!
~ Mt Dew is the only soda worth drinking! If I am going to waste the calories I might as well get a caffeine buzz from it!
~ I loathe beer. In all shapes, forms, brews, cans, bottles. I do not like it at a tailgate. I do not like it while I wait. I do not like it at my home. I do not like it in a dome. I do not like it… at all. LOL Bring me the rum and pineapple any day!
~ I secretly workout to loose enough weight so that you can literally sweep me off my feet someday.
~ My favorite movie is STILL the Devil Wears Prada.
~ I love polka dots. Truly… no matter WHAT item – if it has polka dots it is automagically better! (yes… automagically!)
~ I won’t be mad when you ramble on during Grey’s Anatomy because your voice and your words are more important to me than any show on TIVO.
~ I would rather GIVE Christmas gifts than receive them. I just love seeing the looks on people’s faces when they open that PERFECT gift.
~ I love Christmas. In every way shape and form. I love to start celebrating in November and party right on up to New Year’s eve.
~ I am a dreamer, a wisher, a thinker, a hopeless romantic. I believe in fairytales and am waiting for mine to begin!

So… that is enough about me. I am hoping that on this crisp fall evening that you can feel my heart and know that I am here with you. I wish that I were sitting on my front porch with you right now but I know that we will have many nights ahead for enjoying those moments.
