It amazes me how such simple things can bring joy into your life. The other day, I received a package from a friend on the opposite side of the nation. Wendy is a photographer and though we have shared many emails, posts, and stories we have never met in person. Yet, I find myself being uplifted by the prayers of Wendy and so many other like her. People I have NEVER even met seem to care more about me than those who I have spent years giving my whole life to. It astounds me and I am humbled by the kindness of friends and strangers.

I sat down in the middle of the kitchen floor with Kyleigh and just enjoyed watching her rip into the tiny wrapped surprises inside. The Candy bracelets were definitely a hit. She wanted to wear the tiara and was made that her hair would not hold it in! The pajamas were “oooooookk mommy… Pretties!”

Wendy… you have no idea what an amazing feeling it was for me to sit for 5 minutes and just forget the whole world and be wrapped up in the Joy of watching my Princess be carefree. No hospitals, no bad memories, no sadness or pain… just joy.

And of course who could forget … my favorite part was the AMAZING Panera gift Card!!! That rocked my world. I actually went THAT NIGHT to Panera and got myself a panini!!!
