As an update to this : We now have 5 people willing to help out and help provide meals for this family… I am bumping this to the top to see if we can muster a few more!! They will be arriving to Cincinnati on January 19th and I am hoping to have final meal plans by tomorrow at the latest!

Yes… so I have gotten good at asking for help. This time it is NOT for us. We have a DEAR friend whose daughter suffers from a Mitochondrial disorder. Ana’s only hope for a cure is a miraculous touch of healing from our Heavenly Father. Their family often travels from South Carolina to Cincinnati to see specialists there. Their beautiful Daughter’s name is Ana Maria. Her mom and dad Emmy and Shay have impacted my life in ways I will never be able to explain or thank them for!!!! As Ana’s disease progresses she needs to travel to Cincy more and more to continue treatments that will give her a good quality of life and control her pain.
Miracle Flights has come through with Airfare and Ana’s fund has enough money to cover the hotel and car rental…. now they need FOOD. A family has to EAT. Especially when they are dealing with hospital stays this family needs to keep their strength up!
So… what am I asking? I have the BEST friends and family that anyone could ever ask for! If you are local to me, Lexington or Kentucky Area… I am asking that you HELP me. I am hoping to COOK for this family and provide them with enough meals and snacks to last for a few days.
Here is what I am hoping to get together:
Lunch time – Lunch Meats, Bread and prepackaged chips / cookies. Canned soda / bottled water to take with them to the hospital.
Baked Goodies- Cookies and Breads to snack on.
Gift Cards to several restaurants local to Cincy for them to use at their Leisure.
I know that most of us can spare an extra $20 in our grocery bill to pick up a few items for this family and I KNOW that I have some amazing friends with awesome recipes! So get out those freezer meal recipes and start cooking!!!
