So these were taken about 8 pm the night that the sky feel. It literally rained ice for almot 9 hours. I remember being a kid and hearing the ice hitting our window… then waking up to ice and snow over my waist, Icicles as big as me, and my parent’s vehicles being broken into. As a kid it was really scary. Its funny that even all these years later Ice Storms still evoke some kind of feeling in me that is reminiscent of 1993.
See the reflection of the street lights in the YARD??? Because it was covered with a good few inches of ice by this point.
Owen was literally jumping up and down trying to break the ice and couldn’t. Notice the freezing rain drops in my camera lens?

Troy was determined to stay on top of the shoveling lest it make our front path uninhabitable. See the ICE spray at the end of the shovel? And yes the ice was as thick as the shovel was deep!

I wish it had been a little more light outside because you could have seen it better but if you look closely on the ice around Ross you can SEE the rain hitting the ice and bouncing off… WILD!!!

Neither of the boys could care less that it was 20 degrees and raining outside… they were loving playing in the “snow”… LOL
