I hope that everyone is still praying for Abby and the Riggs Family! I know I am! Be sure to check out Abby’s progress at: http://www.riggsfamilyblog.com/

This week’s HI’s and Lo’s:

HI’s:
- Kyleigh is getting better each day. Although she has ups and downs the flagyl seems to be (once again) a miracle drug!
- We have the BEST friends in the entire world. Seriously!
- God worked a miracle this week in Kyleigh!
- Grey’s Anatomy is NEW again!
- Wedding season is getting close and I am really dying to be photographing regularly again.
- our bottom cabinets are DONE! Cannot wait to see my entire kitchen finished.
- found some really GREAT bargains for Owen clothes at the Salvation Army! (gosh I love thrifty stores!)
- realized how much I really do love my parents! I truly have the greatest mom and dad in the world. My dad is the strong silent type. Rarely says anything but then when he speaks its really grounded and truthful. My mother… she is loud and says whatever she is thinking WHENEVER she is thinking it which sometimes gets her in trouble but i respect her for never sugar coating anything!
- we had a rainy day…. i love rainy days. Especially when they following a really breezy warm sunny day!
- we are determined to get a handle on our finances and are willing to do WHATEVER it takes to pay off our debt. That will be hard to do considering I continue to get $900 bills from Kyleigh’s last stay in the hospital but we will do it! We WILL make it. We didn’t come this far to give up now.
- watching my kids play outside in the sun, enjoying the amazing weather… is truly wonderful
- I CAUGHT UP ON LAUNDRY! like every single load is DONE! That is huge considering I had 13 loads to do!
- I have a plan for ross and ky’s new room and have EVERYTHING I need right now without buying another thing (except paint maybe).

Lo’s
- unpaid bills…. they are starting to pile up. sigh. All we can do is what we CAN. Everything else has to fall by the wayside.
- worrying sucks. it plays a game with your mind and your emotions.
- both of the boys have been sick, feeling better, sick again… now I think Ross has an ear infection (again)… sigh.
- mean people. enough said.

Well times are getting tough in our house but it never ceases to amaze me how God continues to provide. No matter what happens in our lives, where we are, or where we go… we are still a family. We have each other and as long as that holds true we will be just fine.

God is providing abundantly for us through couponing! Thanks to my amazing friend Ali, I have become a FRUGAL mama and there is no looking back! I seem to be a bit addicted and vetoed a food choice last week because we had no coupon! In a few short months I am sure I will have a stockpile and will be well on my way to spending only $100 per month in groceries! (As opposed to our normal $500+).

Today I went to Wally again.. needed Milk and Coke. Here is today’s blessing:
(1) Gallon of Milk
(3) Travel Huggies Wipes (desperately needed these because I can NEVER find a wipe holder for the diaper bag and its about to send me over the edge! LOL)
(3) Pace Picante Salsa’s
(3) boxes of cereal
(1) 24 pack of Coke
(2) 2 bags of easter eggs
(3) HUGE lollipop suckers (stocking up for the easter baskets)
(5) Johnson’s Buddy Bars

Coupons looked like this:
(3) Huggies $3/1 Natural Care Product – $2 in overage EACH = $6 overage
(3) Pace $4/1 Product – $2.63 in overage EACH = $7.89 overage
(1) Johnson Bath buddies $1/1 – $0.03 in overage each
(2) Johnson Bath buddies $2/2 – $0.03 in overage each
(1) Reese Puff Cereal $0.55 on ONE – made the box $1.95
(1) Lucky Charms $0.55 on ONE – made the box $1.95

Total out of pocket: $10.48!! (BUT… somehow one of my $2/2 Johnson’s did NOT ring up) Which means my total REALLY should have been $8. So I will be returning two bath buddies next time I am in the store seeing as how I now have like 20 in my cabinet for FREE!

MORAL of this story is…………. WATCH your coupons!

I would like to say a few things if I may. First, I’ve been following up on your site for awhile now and you are such a fantastic blogger. I’ve been in your shoes before when it came to my husband drifting off with someone else but I stood my ground and we worked things out. I pray that your family stays strong through any and all tough times. Second, I love reading about your deals with groceries. I signed up for a CVS card which I received a few days ago and I never shop there. I can’t afford going anywhere else except for Walmart. I use to be a coupon fanatic but I just can’t get into it again. You’ve inspired me so much that I’m trying to get a paper every Sunday. I would love to be apart of a coupon party or shop with someone that is coupon savy. Keep up the good work.

You can feel FREE to come along anytime! I do the majority of my deals at night like post 10 pm because that is when my kids are in bed! Except for the diaper run which required a midnight-3 am trip Sat and sun AM… lol
