So much news for one day eh?? I will not keep you in suspense any longer. We have a new baby in the house and its a boy! He is only a few months old but we are in LOVE!

Now that I have let the bunny out of the cage…. oh wait… what’s that you say? BUNNY? At the Schmidt house??? Did you think I was pregnant or something?? Come on kids!!! While I would welcome another baby with open arms… this is the year to get OUT of debt… I do not even own my last child yet! LOL

YUP! That’s right. We had been praying for a while about getting a pet for the kids and which one would be the right one. Lo and behold last week my dad sent a teeny tiny wild cottontail rabbit our way. He must have been only a few weeks old. We had planned to set him free in the field behind our house but took a day or two in making sure that he was actually wild. Didn’t want to set him out if he were tame.

After much deliberation we decided that Bunny Foo Foo was indeed wild and off he went. I did not take any pics because I was not inclined to get attached. Owen was very upset and as we watched Bunny Foo Foo hop off into the wild green yonder the tears plopped off his face and onto my feet. We truly felt like that was God’s nudge toward a pet. We had done tons of research and talked to several people and all but decided on a rabbit for a pet. Off we went to the pet store.

Now… our kids think the pet store is the ZOO. Just a minute from our house is Most Valuable Pets. They have salt water tanks, amazing bird sanctuaries, domestic pets like dogs and gerbils and even a cat that roams the store. I fell in LOOOOVE with this guy:

Meet Bob the Bunny. He is the most adorable, funny active little guy I have ever seen! I had never really had an encounter with a pet rabbit before but this one… he is the best! Yes… its a boy and he has truly completed our family!
