I too was in a situation where I did not want to forgive for fear of being hurt again by the same person and as their life rocked on my was in such a mess. God spoke to me in a service and the message I got was that FORGIVING does not mean putting myself in that situation again where I am vulnerable again. I forgave for my sake to keep my relationship with God pure. I do not want ANYTHING to stand between God and I. I need HIM more than anything. People come and go but GOD is always there. I have learned to PRAY for the pot stirrers. What a miserable life they lead if that is how little they value people. Thanks again for being such an inspiration to many! Keeping feeding the flock! I am in the same situation through a group project at school where I did all of the work & a few of my fellow group members that did nothing gave me poor evals...and I have no clue why when I earned the grade for them; so it brought my grade down & I missed an A in Peds by 0.12 points. It definitely upset me because I am such the perfectionist, but life goes on! It definitely reminded me how unfair life can be at times. But,it's not on my shoulders..."they will be as nothing & perish." Thanks again! Thank you for posting that.
