I truly TRULY enjoy the 4th of July.  The cookouts, the family time, the FIREWORKS!  Independence Day has always been my dad’s FAVORITE holiday!  I think he would rather have fireworks than Christmas honestly!  This year it RAINED … like a LOT of rain all day both days.  Ugh.  We managed to make the most of it with our super-awesome-amaing-wonder van! (otherwise known as the Montana! )

Friday night was great though!  Owen had the “camp out” for the week of camp at church.  The kids had a blast playing on the playground and running around.  There was food, ice cream and even some sliming!  Mrs. Marsha got slimed because the kids managed to raise enough money through offering during the week!  Owen was totally hyped.  It was hilarious!  The evening ended with a fireworks show that was the highlight of our weekend (considering the fact that it rained the rest of the time!)  Hopefully next year we will get our “picnic on the lawn” like we had planned this year!
