I didn’t see a ton of stuff that truly excited me this week at Walgreens simply because I have a good stockpile going but there are FOUR totally free after Register Reward Items and two can be made into money makers if you have the right coupons.
Here is what I did with NO coupons at all:
- Transaction #1:
- Rembrandt toothpaste $5
- Carefree 16 pack $1.99
- $7.40 out of pocket
- Got back: $5 RR & $2 ECB
- Transaction #2:
- Men’s Zone 6 blade Razor $3.99
- Colgate 360 Acti-flex Toothbrush $2.99
- Ramen Noodle (for filler… you could easily use any CHEAP 10-20 cent school supply but we like and need the ramen!!) $0.25
- $7.67 Total (-) RR USE: $5 RR and $2 RR from Transaction #1
- $0.67 out of pocket (for tax)
- Get back: $5 RR & $2 ECB
- Transaction #3:
- Rembrandt toothpaste $5
- Carefree 16 pack $1.99
- Ramen Noodle $0.25
- $7.68 out of pocket
- (-) RR USE: $5 RR and $2 RR from Transaction #2
- $0.68 out of pocket for tax
- Get back: $5 RR & $2 ECB
- Transaction #4:
- Same as Tranasaction #2
** You can see how this can be an infinite loop of free stuff! This is called “rolling” in coupon terms** Now… problem may be that you get to Walgreens and they are out of one part of the equation as were MANY of my Walgreens in Lexington by 9 am this morning (that is a complete crock – don’t even get me started!) you can substitute other items that have the SAME value register reward if you are willing to pay a little more out of pocket such as Colgate which is producing a $2 RR or better yet REACH toothbrushes $2.99 – $2 RR- there IS a $1/1 Reach coupon that exists and is still current but we did NOT get those in Lexington papers so if you have one – YAY for you!!!
