Our three year old son is a new patient at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital. (He sees both Drs. Leavitt and Alam.) I found your blog while googling information on Dr. Alam's use of antibiotics in the bladder for kids who are being intermittently catheterized. You seem like a well-informed mama and I was wondering what sources you used to educate yourself while moving forward in your daughter's plan of care. My husband and I like having solid questions to ask.

Thank you so much!

My unemployed status is making me feel real Martha-ish(probably not a word) myself and your pumpkins inspire me. Glenn grew some monster-sized pumpkins in our garden and I am inspired to figure out something to do with them. Besides posing the kids next to them that is!

Glad to hear that Alam is taking such good care of Ky. For some reason we did not have that bond with him. Sigh.....

Loving the pumpkin post! You have inspired me to totally do something different with them this year. Praying the infection goes away quickly! I know it must be scary to think that the medicine Ky is on might not be doing as well as it should. Ahhh...it seems so frustrating! and ps- I totally want you to come live at my house just to photograph pretty things like pumpkins! Haha...but I think 2 husbands, 2 wives, 3 kids, 3 dogs, 2 cats, a turtle and a gecko might be a little much under one roof!
