Fair enough, no you would definitely not want to see or have anything to do with her. Just too painful and no point. I agree you can forgive but not forget, it is hard but I think it is like emotionally and spiritually you forgive them but rationally you remember, how could you not? Glad things are going well for you and your family now.

Tessa… Thank you for reading. It is my hope that you have never had to deal with an affair… But if you have I pray that any part of our journey can bring some comfort to you. On the subject of forgiveness.. I have very much forgiven her for the affair. I honestly don’t hold it against her that she allowed herself to be used as a vehicle of destruction against our marriage. But forgiveness and forgetting are two very different things. Forgiveness also does not mean that you can or should be friends, or even acquaintences. For me, i never wish to see her again and neither does my hsband. My children have totally forgotten her and we like it this way. Furthermore… Knowing that the paramour has several friends in common, I also know that there is very little remorse on her part… Seeing as how we were not the first couple she participated in an affair against. If anything I feel pity for her because anyone who repeatedly and blantently does this… Must have some major emotional issues. I pray that God will get ahold of her and shake her up… Anyone who intends to divide a marriage is WRONG and that is a simple fact. I do not wish evil against her at all… I just wish her a good enough life that keeps her FAR from us…lol. (not really lol but you …)

Hi Amber, it is wonderful that you and your husband have survived such a terrible time with a stronger, more united love. It is a testament to your characters and your faith. I believe however that you should try to forgive the other woman for what she has done. Jesus spoke of forgiveness. It would be very difficult but would probably bring you a sense of peace. All the best to you and your family

Nope.. I am not gone… just busy! Had a crazy, amazing, awesome and BLESSED summer and fall wedding season and then took (gasp) a few weeks off for the holidays! Of course my new year’s resolution is to blog more… lol… but isn’t it every year?!

Hello
I was recently diagnosed with chiari, and now my children are also showing symptoms. I came across your blog online, and was hoping you could possibly contact me. We seem to have a lot in common – I am a Christian, budgeting, homeschooling mom of 2 little girls. Anyhow, I know it’s weird since I don’t know you, but chiari seems so far to be a pretty lonely disease, and I would love if you are able to talk with me. Especially since you also are a follower of Christ. I’m finding it difficult on painful/scary days to keep the correct perspective.
